June 2022: Can it really be the middle of June?
We've been very busy helping clients planning trips for this summer, fall and beyond, but wanted to take a few moments to reach out to share some exciting news with all of you. First of all, the CDC has removed the requirement to produce a negative COVID test in order to fly back to the U.S. This is sure to bring a huge amount of relief to anyone anxious about getting stuck in destination due to a positive test. And believe me, I understand -- my son and I had a "COVID extension" on our Paris trip in April. Of course, there are many worse places to be stuck (and we made the best of it by taste-testing even more croissants than we already had!), but it wasn't ideal and I was definitely anxious about testing positive before he was cleared to fly home. Fortunately, I stayed negative and he tested negative after just a few days and we were able to head home (and we had travel insurance, which covered the accommodation costs for our unexpected extension!) But that's not the only news we have to share...

Over the past five years, the team at Vacations By Heather has been slowly growing to accommodate all of the vacation requests that we get and it seemed long overdue to make sure our company name and branding reflected that it's not just Heather making the magic happen for our clients -- it really takes a team to make it work!
We worked with the talented Kerstin Vogdes Diehn of 501c Design to revamp our branding and I hope you're as pleased with the new look as we are!

- Kelly Piccola, our Manager of Agency Operations, who makes sure documents and itineraries go out on schedule and things don't slip through the cracks, amongst many other tasks

- Sandy Murphy, our Operations Assistant and newest team member, who's helping out in many ways, including with booking your trains, tours and excursions
